The Friendly Society Private Hospital is a 142-bed acute care surgical and medical facility with an Emergency Department, CC/ICU Unit, Oncology Unit and Cath Lab. We have 5 Operating Theatres with a separate Endoscopy Unit. The Friendlies provide the highest quality healthcare set in modern facilities with the latest technology. As a growing health service, we have a rare and exciting opportunity for you to join The Friendlies’ established surgical facility as a General Surgeon. The Friendlies is open to accepting a General Surgeon with or without a surgical speciality. The employment model options include; full private practice, full-time salaried or salaried with the transitional employment model to private practice after a defined period.

Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) Requirements

It is a mandatory condition of employment that some roles within our hospital require you to be vaccinated, and remain vaccinated during your employment, against some or all of the following vaccine preventable diseases; Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping cough), and Hepatitis.
