    Position Information

    Kingsgrove High School is a dynamic, comprehensive coeducational high school with an enrolment of 700 students, of whom 85% come from backgrounds where English is an additional language or dialect. With a proud tradition of excellence, the school supports students in achieving academic success, as well as in the arts, sport, leadership, co-curricular activities, and community service.
    We offer a broad and inclusive curriculum designed to cater to all learners, with a strong focus on quality teaching, student engagement, and academic achievement. Our robust programs include language development for students transitioning from Intensive English Centres, literacy and numeracy support, student wellbeing, and leadership development.
    In addition to a diverse curriculum, students have access to a wide variety of performing and creative arts, as well as vocational education programs. The school also features a well-established Support Unit, which is an integral and highly valued part of our school community.

    Selection Criteria

    • Approval to teach and or experience to teach Learning and Support Secondary
    • Demonstrated ability in identifying and supporting students with diverse and complex learning needs through assessment, personalised adjustments and targeted interventions.
    • Demonstrated understanding and application of inclusive education practices, including NCCD requirements, disability adjustments and personalised support planning.
    • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with students, parents/carers, colleagues and external agencies to support student learning, engagement and wellbeing.


    Conditions

    An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
