Full job description
The Position
We're looking for a proactive, tech-savvy General VA for an Australian online education business that helps homeowners navigate renovation, building, and home design projects with greater confidence.
You'll be the primary point of contact for members, helping them stay engaged, find the right resources, and get the most value from their experience.
Working closely with a small remote team, you'll support member engagement, community moderation, Q&A operations, curriculum navigation, and the systems that keep the member experience running smoothly.
This is not a traditional customer support role. We're looking for someone who takes ownership, solves problems proactively, improves processes, and genuinely cares about helping people succeed.
About the Role
This full-time remote role combines community management, member support, operational coordination, and online course administration.
The ideal candidate is highly organised, AI-fluent, an excellent written communicator, and comfortable working independently. While architectural or technical advice remains with our specialist team, an interest in, or exposure to — architecture, construction, civil engineering, interior design, or residential building will be highly regarded.
Why This Role Is Different
- You'll play a key role in a growing and established online education business.
- You'll have genuine ownership over the member experience.
- You'll be encouraged to improve systems and recommend better ways of working.
- Your ideas and observations will be valued.
- You'll gain exposure to the renovation, building, and home design industry.
- This is a long-term opportunity with room to grow as the business evolves.
The Details
Location: Remote (Work From Home)

Operations & Team Support
- Maintain member records and handle account-related updates.
- Provide basic technical support for course access issues.
- Create and maintain SOPs for recurring tasks and processes.
- Attend weekly team meetings and communicate regularly via Slack.
- Collaborate with team members to support community operations and member experience.
- Assist with launch activities, webinars, and special projects when required.
Community Delivery & Member Support
- Maintain a daily presence in the HOME Method Facebook Group.
- Respond to onboarding submissions and follow up on incomplete forms.
- Provide first-line member email support and escalate complex questions when required.
- Encourage engagement, celebrate member wins, and guide members to curriculum content.
- Support fortnightly Zoom Q&A sessions by managing chat, collecting questions, and sharing resources.
- Follow up with inactive members and conduct member outreach as required.
- Coordinate Q&A reminders via Facebook and email.
- Upload recordings, maintain content libraries, and distribute Q&A summaries.
Curriculum, Content, & Marketing Support
- Build a strong understanding of the HOME Method curriculum and member journey.
- Help members find relevant resources without providing design or architectural advice.
- Identify recurring questions, content gaps, and member pain points.
- Maintain community resources, guides, and the Materials Directory.
- Manage Facebook Guides, Featured Posts, and Canva-based community assets.
- Capture and organise testimonials, member stories, and project milestones.
- Monitor community engagement and member activity metrics.
- Support marketing initiatives by identifying member success stories and leads.
- Assist with live webinar launches, specifically supporting on webinar live calls, and any online community activity
