A Technical Support Engineer is responsible for ensuring that medical devices, diagnostic equipment, or healthcare software are installed, maintained, and functioning correctly. The role combines technical troubleshooting with customer support and often involves working directly with hospitals, clinics, and laboratories.

Job description

Typical responsibilities include:

Installing and commissioning medical devices at customer sites.

Performing preventive maintenance and equipment calibration.

Diagnosing and repairing hardware and software faults.

Providing technical support by phone, email, or onsite.

Training healthcare professionals on the safe and effective use of equipment.

Documenting service activities and maintaining accurate records.

Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Escalating complex technical issues to engineering or product development teams.

Skills and qualifications
