Remuneration: As per EA commencing 90k whilst training, $150k once qualified.


About the role:

Aurizon’s Callemondah depot is seeking expressions of interest from safety focused individuals who would like undertake training to become a locomotive driver. To excel in this position you will relish to opportunity to learn new skills and put into practice what you are taught in the classroom to become a professional train operator.

  • 24x7 rotating shift roster 365 days a year including nights, weekends and public holidays
  • Apply theoretical knowledge from training to practical operation
  • Work in accordance with Aurizon's safety and operational standards and procedures
  • Undertake Locomotive driver training and successfully complete modules

About you:

You are reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to safety and a willingness to train to become a professional train driver with Aurizon.

  • All-encompassing focus on safety along with great interpersonal skills
  • Superior team work skills
  • Must be available to work 24/7 shift roster which incorporates
  • Current unrestricted Class C drivers licence
  • Be available to commence early 2027 and not have any prior commitments for the first 9 months of the training program.
  • Be available to be away from home for training for extended periods.
