Artificial Intelligence is now one of the seven core competencies in the Clinical Radiology Curriculum recently released by RANZCR (https://www.ranzcr.com/college/tar/clinical-radiology-reforms).

AdelaideMRI has created and is continuing to develop a unique Australian patented AI radiology reporting system, providing a comprehensive reporting service to enhance the radiologist's report as an aid to the trainee. The AI reporting system has now generated in excess of half a million reports across all modalities including ultrasound, x-ray, CT, MRI & BMD.

We are offering pre-accreditation trainees initial experience with advanced AI reporting, as the system includes a very detailed feedback, training and audit loop for registrar trainees.

AI in imaging is now a key RANZCR curriculum competency; you will be ahead of the curve in gaining first hand experience in an advanced AI based imaging system.

The training position will cover all seven core RANZCR competencies with direct supervision by an RANZCR Radiologist. The Trainee Medical Officer will assist with the protocols of studies, obtaining informed consent, administrating contrast and overseeing the performance of Ultrasound, MRI and CT examinations; ensuring efficient flow of patients, and completion of high quality imaging.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Report radiological examinations across different modalities including X-ray, CT, MRI and BMD
  • Perform image-guided procedures (under direct supervision), including but not limited to pain management CT-guided MSK injections
  • Optimise workflow efficiency in a radiological setting by performing clinical tasks, such as triaging scans, managing patient workups, communicating with referrers, and overseeing contrast-enhanced CT imaging which may include ultrasound-guided cannulation
  • Ensure quality assurance of the AI system
  • Explore opportunities in research

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Medical degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience with Australian medical environment would be desirable.
  • Part 1 RANZCR highly desirable.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Possesses high level of competence in the basic medical graduate skills including history taking, basic physical examination, provision of patient information to obtain informed consent, and an understanding of how imaging studies assist in the overall provision of co-ordinated patient care in an outpatient Primary Care setting.
  • Possesses a basic knowledge of radiation protection and safety and MRI safety considerations.

Salary commensurate with experience

Pay: Up to $200,000.00 per year
