Be part of a unique creative space! Help shape the visual arts offering at Darebin City Council in this exciting role working at Darebin’s public art gallery, Bundoora Homestead Art Centre.

As part of our organisational redesign, we're introducing new roles that support Darebin's future focus and priorities.

About the role:
Under the supervision of the Operations Team Leader, the Public Programs & Venue Services Officer designs and delivers a range of creative workshops and events at Bundoora Homestead Art Centre, including kids’ art classes, history tours, and adult art and craft workshops. This position also plays a support role to visitor services at the Homestead, greeting customers and providing exhibition information.

You will:
  • Design and deliver weekly art and craft workshop for families and young children
  • Design and deliver education and heritage tours at Bundoora Homestead.
  • Liaise with contractors to coordinate the delivery of specialised art and craft workshops and events.
  • Provide visitor services support at the gallery front desk

About you:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-developed administrative, operational and organisational skills
  • Well-developed customer service principles and practice
