About the Role
Hospital Medical Officer (ENT / Ophthalmology)
Fixed Term Full Time position available for immediate commencement
The HMO will cover both the wards and Emergency Department on a rotational basis. Ward HMOs participate in daily ward rounds and work closely with the unit Registrars and Fellows. He/she is also responsible for ensuring discharge summaries and other documentation are completed allowing for timely discharge. Provision may also be made to attend ENT and Ophthalmology outpatient clinics. HMOs are rostered to work weekdays, evenings and weekends on the wards, in the Emergency Department and in clinics. HMOs are also rostered to night shifts primarily in the Emergency Department (supervised by accredited registrars).
PLEASE NOTE BEFORE APPLYING:
It is important that applicants have an interest in learning and developing skills in ophthalmology and ENT.
