Executive Director, Information Technology and Workplace Services
- Lead enterprise-wide impact by shaping the department's digital transformation, strengthening cybersecurity, and overseeing critical ICT, information management, and workplace services that enable effective service delivery.
- Drive strategic leadership and reform by leading a large, high-performing branch, managing complex risks and high-value contracts, and building strong partnerships across government to support current priorities and future challenges.
- Senior Executive Service level 2, fixed term up to 5 years
The Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR) is focused on growing Victoria's prosperity, building the productive capacity of our economy and increasing participation – by creating more opportunities for people through skills and jobs; helping businesses and industries to thrive; and building vibrant communities and regions.
Reporting to the Deputy Secretary, Corporate Services, the Executive Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership across the department's digital, ICT, information management and workplace services functions. The role oversees enterprise-wide transformation, cybersecurity, governance, risk management and high-value contracts, while ensuring essential services such as accommodation, facilities, mail and fleet are delivered effectively. It also leads stakeholder engagement, drives service reform, and fosters a high-performing, collaborative culture that supports the department's current and future priorities.
The successful candidate will:
- Have extensive executive experience leading large and complex ICT and digital functions, with a strong track record in setting strategy, governing service delivery and driving major transformation programs in complex environments.
- Highly developed leadership and people management capability, with the ability to build high-performing, customer-focused teams and foster a culture of innovation, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Strong stakeholder, commercial and governance expertise, including influencing at senior levels across government, managing significant budgets and high-value contracts, and overseeing robust governance, risk, assurance and cyber security frameworks.
