About the Prevocational Training Network 12
This position sits within the Prevocational Training Network, also known as Network 12. We are the largest Network within NSW and proudly work closely with Junior Medical Officers at either Intern or Resident Medical Officer levels (PGY1 / PGY2) to assist them in achieving their career goals.
Our team is dedicated to supporting our trainees in all aspects of training including weekly education, orientation, clinical teaching and access to various rotations including Surgery / Medicine / Mental Health / Paeds / Obs and Gynae / Crit Care and Emergency to name a few.

You will be working in our dynamic network of 8 training sites:

What you will be doing
The primary purpose of a Resident Medical Officer is to provide safe and high-quality care, assess and manage, under supervision, patients presenting to our training sites.
The Medical Officers will work under appropriate supervision according to their level of competence to evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to patients of all ages presenting in any condition.

International Applicants:
International Medical Graduates (IMG) are welcome to apply. Our district has a variety of programs and support to help you achieve general registration.
Please see below criteria that applicants must meet to be considered for this role:
Australian and NZ Graduates/Competent Authority Pathway Candidates:
Completion of 1 post graduate years or more as a medical officer in an acute hospital setting and currently practicing as a clinician within an acute hospital setting.
Standard Pathway Candidates:
Completion of a minimum of 4 postgraduate years or more as a medical officer in an acute hospital setting and currently working as a clinician in an acute hospital setting.
Applicants are required to currently hold Level 2 Supervision with AHPRA.
International applicants must also provide the following when submitting their application.
- AMC Part 1 Certificate (Part 2, if available)
- English Assessment Results (PTE/OET/IELTS)
- Degree
- MBBS or equivalent degree, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia with General Registration or a minimum Level 2 supervision on Limited or Provisional registration.
- Current unrestricted driving license and a reliable private vehicle.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a supervised environment.
- Adept ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team with an understanding of the roles of the doctor and other members of the healthcare team.
- Adept written and verbal communication skills as defined in the Australian Health Practice Regulation Agency (AHPRA) English language skills registration standard. Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, family members and other members of the health care team.
- Adept good organisational and time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
