This Expression of Interest (EOI) collects a variety of information that will help identify potentially suitable applicants for future temporary employment opportunites. If deemed suitable your details will remain in the expression of intetrest pool for a period of five (5) months, and you may be contracted further by Metro South Health (MSH) at the time an opportunity arises matching your qualifications/experience. MSH may request your particpation in other recuitment selection processes (eg: interview, reference checks and pre-employment checks) to further determine suitability for appointment to a specific position.
Submission of an EOI is not a guarantee that you will be offered employment with MSH
By submitting an EOI, you will not automatically be considered for advertised vacancies. If you wish to be considered for a specific advertised vacancy at MSH, please submit your application for the relevant vacancy via the Smart Jobs.
The EOI process is just one avenue of seeking employment with MSH, and your application will remain current for 5 months.
Your new role:
As a Resident Medical Officer, you'll build your clinical expertise while providing supervised patient care, with opportunities to:
Rotate through various clinical units, including inpatient and outpatient services.
Assess patients, arrange investigations, diagnose conditions and develop evidence-based management plans.
Participate in day, evening and night shifts, on-call rosters and clinical procedures.
Work closely with Registrars, senior medical staff and multidisciplinary teams.
Contribute to pre-admission planning, inpatient care, discharge planning and follow-up.
Participate in education, training, research, audits and teaching junior colleagues.
About you:
You'll bring a commitment to safe, professional patient care, with:
Appropriate medical qualifications and registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
Sound clinical knowledge, assessment and procedural skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
A commitment to postgraduate medical education, training and continuous learning.
