Join Omni-Care - work as an In-Home Aged Care Support Worker with paid travel included.

We believe older people deserve to remain in the comfort of their own homes for as long as possible while receiving care delivered with dignity, compassion, and the highest standards of support.

We are seeking skilled, compassionate, and reliable Support Workers to provide exceptional in-home care to older people in Heidelberg and surrounding areas. Must be available Monday and/or Friday 9am to 4pm.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Support Worker, you’ll help clients live independently, feel respected, and stay connected to their community by assisting with:

  • Personal Care – Supporting clients with showering, grooming, and daily hygiene routines
  • Home Cleaning – Household cleaning and laundry tasks are a core part of the role, helping clients maintain a safe and comfortable living environment
  • Meal Preparation – Cooking simple, nutritious meals
  • Shopping – Assisting with errands or accompanying clients to the shops
  • Transport - Pick up/drop off services, driving clients where they need to go.
  • Respite - Relieving informal carers from their duties for a specific time in or out of home.
  • Social Support – Engaging clients in companionship, social outings, home-based activities, appointment activities.
  • Wellbeing Monitoring – Observing and reporting changes in physical or emotional health
  • This role involves travelling between clients homes.

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum availability of 3 weekdays including mornings. Monday and/or Friday with 8am start time is a must
  • A genuine passion for supporting others and making a positive impact
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or IV in Aging Support, Diploma of Nursing or Bachelor of Nursing with accompanying academic transcript (students nearing completion welcome to apply)
  • Current Victorian Driver’s License and reliable, insured vehicle
  • Current Police Check or NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • COVID-19 vaccination evidence
