Northern Beaches Hospital - Bookings and Admissions

What you'll be doing
We are seeking a highly motivated Casual Administration Officers to support our friendly hard-working Booking and Administrations teams. Casuals will be expected to be able to cover 8.5 hr shifts (inc breaks) Monday – Friday within our operational hours of 6am to 6pm. Some week to week regular shifts may be offered but generally shifts will be to cover leave so may be at short notice.

Our bookings and admissions roles offer development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high-quality patient centred care.

You will be expected to deal with multiple stakeholders (internal and external) from a range of disciplines and come into direct patient contact. The role involves the effective management of all patient bookings to their admissions including the financial checks and documentation for Private Elective Surgeries and Public Waitlist bookings.
Effective and efficient patient administration activities are to be undertaken according to the NSW Health Local Health District and Northern Beaches Hospital policies. Customer service is expected to be of high standard and this is reflected by positive patient and stakeholder experiences.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Highly professional phone manner and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to be self-motivated with good time management skills.
  • Well-developed computer skills including accurate data entry skills.
