Administration Support Officer
At the NSW Department of Education, we educate and inspire lifelong learners – from early childhood, through schooling to vocational education and training.
- Temporary up to 3 years till 30.06.29
- Located in Parramatta with flexible working arrangements available
- $108,229. Package includes salary ($87,199 - $95,48, employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
About the role
The Administration Support Officer is responsible for providing a range of executive support, administrative activities and project/program support to facilitate the delivery of business operations, and optimal utilisation of the time and resources. The role supports the VET for Secondary Students (VETSS) business unit to promote the efficient and effective operation of the unit and achieve organisational objectives.

About you
- Strong attention to details and effectively manages your time to meet deadlines.
- Able to prioritise and operate proactively.
- Capable working as a team member as well as independently. have foundational knowledge or interest in the Skills portfolio and/or VET for Secondary Students
- Foundational or interest in with the following systems Microsoft suite and SAP (finance and supplier management)
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
- Hold a valid clearance to work with children (Working with Children Check) for paid employment.
