About the role
The Administration Officer provides a broad range of high-level administrative services to the Director, Community Languages and International Programs to ensure that the delivery of key priorities and business operations are supported in a targeted, timely and effective manner.
Key accountabilities
- Provide executive and administrative support to the Director and leadership team across a range of business functions.
- Prepare reports, presentations, correspondence and documents using Microsoft Office to support executive decision-making.
- Coordinate records, files and corporate databases, including HPE Content Manager and EWMS, to maintain accurate information and meet deadlines.
- Manage travel bookings, SAP purchasing and administrative processes to support efficient business operations.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and provide timely advice and administrative support across the directorate.
- Monitor work priorities, maintain accurate records, and provide regular updates to the Director on key tasks and emerging issues.

About you

- Communicate clearly, manage expectations and provide accurate advice across a range of enquiries.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
- Current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
