TCR has a brand-new, exciting opportunity available in our Perth Workshop: Automotive Mechanic!

The Opportunity

TCR Group is a global leader in Ground Support Equipment (GSE) solutions that keep airports running smoothly worldwide. With over 1,800 employees across 200+ airports, we provide mission-critical rental, leasing, and maintenance services that airlines and handlers rely on every day.

We’re on the hunt for a trade-qualified Automotive Mechanic (LV, HV or Plant) who wants hands-on, exciting, diverse mechanical work on unique airport equipment. If you currently hold a Working Holiday Visa (417/462) and are already in Australia - we want to meet you!

A snapshot of what you will be doing here:

  • Utilise your technical skills and experience as a tradesman to conduct repairs and preventive maintenance of ground support equipment.

  • Report daily to the Shift Supervisor however will ultimately be under the management of the State Service Manager.

  • Conduct preventive servicing, data collecting as well as repair, and maintenance tasks that reflect a trade standard.

  • Promote a safety-first approach.

  • Collaborate with fabricators, technicians, and assistants to develop and implement effective solutions.

  • Utilise the wide variety of equipment and the unique nature of aviation equipment as an opportunity for you to bring a wide collection of knowledge & skills to the role.


Who we're looking for:

  • Trade-qualified mechanic (LV/HV/Plant) - Relevant Mechanic Trade Qualification

  • Have your own tools.

  • Exposure to diesel engines, hydraulic systems and electrical fault finding is highly regarded.

  • Hold a current and valid Driver's License.

  • A strong focus on safety standards and relevant company policies & procedures.

  • Experience working within procedural guidelines.

  • Good communication skills and proactiveness.

  • A positive attitude and proactive mindset, with the ability to work autonomously as well as being a good team player.,

  • Fluent in English; additional languages are always a plus
