About the Role

As a Youth Worker, you'll support young people through meaningful relationships, positive role modelling and engaging activities designed to build confidence, independence and resilience.
You will:
  • Build trusting relationships and provide a safe, supportive environment
  • Support young people to achieve their goals and develop life skills
  • Deliver engaging activities, mentoring opportunities and community experiences
  • Apply trauma-informed practices and positive behaviour support strategies
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external services
  • Celebrate progress, encourage success and help young people thrive
Who We're Looking For

We're seeking individuals who are:
  • Compassionate, resilient and emotionally intelligent
  • Flexible, adaptable and solutions-focused
  • Confident working within professional boundaries
  • Able to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situations
  • Passionate about supporting vulnerable young people
Experience working with young people, disabilities, trauma, mental health or other vulnerable groups is highly regarded. Candidates with transferable skills from community services, education, disability support, residential care, healthcare or similar sectors are strongly encouraged to apply.

Essential Requirements
  • Certificate III, IV or Diploma in Community Services, Youth Work, or willingness to obtain
  • Understanding of trauma-informed care and behaviour support approaches
  • Strong communication and report writing skills
  • Current NSW Driver Licence and comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Current Working With Children Check
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Roster & Employment Options

Our service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You'll participate in a rotating roster that includes:
  • Morning, afternoon and night shifts
  • Sleepovers (up to 3 per fortnight)
  • Every second weekend
To provide consistency and stability for the young people in our care, your roster will repeat on a fortnightly cycle.

We offer:
  • Permanent Part-Time positions (minimum 60 hours per fortnight with opportunities for additional shifts)
  • Casual opportunities for those seeking flexibility
