Bolton Clarke Group one of Australia’s largest independent, not-for-profit providers of home care, retirement living and residential aged care, operating nationally and internationally. About the Role

As the Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the property's appearance and condition are well-maintained by performing general maintenance and handyman tasks. You will communicate with customers to understand their needs and liaise with external contractors to provide specialised services. You will conduct regular inspection, follow health and safety protocols and ensure work meet trade and Australian standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performs general maintenance tasks such as painting, plaster patching, window and door repairs, inspects properties, assists with basic handyperson tasks including minor plumbing, carpentry, and electrical services and ensures work meet trade and Australian standards.
  • Communicates with customers to ensure that maintenance services meet their expectation and addresses issues that could affect their well-being.
  • Coordinates with external vendors and contractors for specialised repairs and maintenance services.
  • Ensures safety of all residents, visitors and contractors by implementing and adhering to Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) procedures.

About You

To be successful in this role, our preferred candidate will have:

  • Minimal experience as a Maintenance Officer is preferred.
  • Certificate III in Engineering/Parks and Gardening is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety and health principles is preferred.
  • Proficient in Facilities Maintenance, Repair Techniques, Plant Operations, Knowledge of Occupational, Health and Safety Procedures (OHS) and Maintenance Equipment Management skills.
  • Excellent Communication, Adaptive Thinking, Customer Experience and Planning and Prioritisation skills.
