This role is ideal for someone who enjoys customer interaction, has strong organisational skills, and can confidently manage multiple responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming customer experience
  • Process retail transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Manage and maintain inventory levels across multiple product categories
  • Receive, unpack, price and replenish stock daily
  • Monitor stock movement and place supplier orders when required
  • Maintain merchandise presentation and store cleanliness
  • Perform stock counts and assist with inventory control procedures
  • Handle lottery sales and transactions in accordance with company procedures
  • Assist customers with lottery products and promotional activities
  • Manage cash handling, balancing and EFTPOS transactions accurately
  • Ensure compliance with retail procedures and security requirements
  • Support daily store opening and closing procedures
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve store targets and operational standards

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous retail, newsagency, convenience store, postal or customer service experience preferred
  • Lottery handling experience is highly regarded and strongly preferred
  • Experience with inventory management and stock replenishment
  • Ability to order stock and maintain appropriate inventory levels
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with cash handling
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Confident using POS systems and basic computer applications
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Reliable, punctual and professional presentation

Availability Requirements
