About the role:

We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse with experience in theatre, anaesthetics, recovery or ward to join our clinical team on a part time or casual basis. Monday to Friday flexible roster, with occasional weekend shifts and overnights available.

Duties and responsibilities:

This role will see you working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.

• Assist the nursing team to deliver safe, evidence-based patient care
• Ensure the theatre complex and equipment are ready for surgery
• Ensure patient safety and communication with surgical team is always a key focus
• Monitor and evaluate patient recovery, addressing any complications
• Deliver education and support to patients for the management of their recovery
• Supervise and support Enrolled Nurses on shift

About You:

You have a genuine passion for nursing, providing world-class patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:

• Solid experience in a comparable role (theatre / perioperative setting preferred)
• Tertiary qualifications in Nursing or similar
• Experience in Recovery, Scrub/Scout, Anaesthetics or Ward
• Current AHPRA registration
• A background in private day hospitals preferred

Our hospital includes 4 operating theatres, a Day Surgery Unit and a 7 bed overnight ward.
