What you'll do

As the Applications Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering reliable and effective enterprise application support across Queensland Health. You will provide change, incident, risk, capacity and continuity management services in line with ITIL best practice frameworks, ensuring high-quality service delivery and system performance. Working collaboratively with technical specialists, vendors and end users, you will help maintain end-to-end service delivery for enterprise systems, build strong stakeholder relationships, and provide timely reporting on application support activities. You will also contribute to the development, maintenance and deployment of application guides, work instructions and technical documentation to support ongoing system operations and user capability.

About you

We are searching for someone who has:
Demonstrated ability in developing and promoting ITIL Service Management processes primarily incident / problem / test / change and configuration management. (SFIA: USUP Level 4, PBMG Level 4, CHMG Level 4, CFMG Level 3, TEST Level 3)
Demonstrated ability in the provision of high level specialist advice of Clinical Based Hospital Information Systems. (SFIA: TECH Level 5)
Demonstrated ability to ensure that service delivery meets agreed service levels in a customer focused ICT environment. (SFIA: SLMO Level 4)
Well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work collaboratively with people to make decisions. (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing)
Well-developed ability to build and maintain appropriate relationships with team members, other technical specialists, application specialists, vendors and end users. (NHS: Collaborative Working).
Experience in a clinical health setting would be advantageous.
