This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.

About our School:

At Beerwah State School our motto strive to excel means we want to help children learn to be the best they can be. In everything we do, we demonstrate an enthusiastic caring approach in helping children find out about their world; and grow as curious, creative and caring learners. We believe in a partnership between home and school and acknowledge the wonderful contribution of parents and the community. Our school consists of Primary classes Prep to Year 6. We also have a Special Education Program and an Early Childhood Development Program. We are situated in beautiful bush surrounds on the outskirts of Beerwah in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

About the Role:

Contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by assisting and supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities.
This role will be supporting our teachers working with students with disabilities.
Experience working with students with additional needs will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities:

Support teachers in delivering engaging learning experiences.
Work with individual students and small groups, including students with additional needs.
Assist with classroom preparation, learning resources and administrative tasks.
Supervise students during playground, bus duty, excursions and school activities.
Support literacy and numeracy programs.
Assist with student wellbeing, including first aid (training provided where required).
Help maintain classroom equipment and learning environments.
Build positive relationships with students, staff and families while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
