The Opportunity
Genus is seeking a proactive and highly organised Business Support Officer to join our NWTD team based in Devonport, Tasmania.

This full-time role will provide day-to-day administrative and project support across workshop, site, and project activities. You will play a key role in coordinating documentation, travel, mobilisation, onboarding, training records, and general business support to help our team operate safely, efficiently, and professionally.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration experience, great attention to detail, and the ability to build effective working relationships across internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Project Manager and wider project or division team, including document control, correspondence, filing, meeting preparation, and minute taking.
  • Coordinate mobilisation requirements including paperwork, travel, accommodation, vehicle hire, plant hire, medicals, training, inductions, PPE, and site access requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records including training matrices, travel manifests, job files, vehicle and fleet registers, apprentice records, site maintenance records, and project documentation.
About You
  • Previous experience in project administration, business administration, office management, or a similar support role.
  • Strong communication, customer relationship management, time management, and organisational skills.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and general office systems, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
Desirable:
  • Experience in the utilities, construction, resources, infrastructure, or similar project-based industry.
  • Experience with fleet maintenance filing systems such as Gearbox, or similar systems.
  • First Aid Certificate and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
