Operations Support Officer
Booth Transport
Booth Transport is a leading Australian logistics and transportation company specialising in bulk freight solutions across the mining, agriculture, chemicals, and industrial sectors. We are seeking a proactive and organised Operations Support Officer to support the efficient day-to-day operation of our transport and logistics activities.
About the Role
As an Operations Support Officer, you will provide administrative and operational support to the operations team, helping coordinate transport activities, maintain accurate records, and ensure smooth communication between drivers, customers, and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the operations team
- Maintain and update operational records and databases
- Assist with scheduling deliveries, routes, staff, and resources
- Monitor daily operations and report issues as they arise
- Coordinate communication between drivers, customers, and internal teams
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and operational documentation
- Process invoices, purchase orders, and transport paperwork
- Track shipments, service requests, and operational activities
- Respond to customer enquiries and provide status updates
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and industry regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience in administration, logistics, transport, or operations support preferred
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Good verbal and written communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
Qualification in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management is advantageous
