Location: Parramatta (hybrid Parramatta office and work from home)
Employment type: Ongoing Full-time
Salary: Clerk Grade 5/6, $102,936 to $113,579 pa, plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-performing executive office that supports the Deputy Secretary and the broader Corporate Services division in achieving strategic and operational priorities. Working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, you will provide high-quality business support services and play a key role in facilitating the efficient operation of the Office of the Deputy Secretary.
What you’ll do
As a Business Support Officer within Business Coordination, Office of the Deputy Secretary, Corporate Services division, you will provide a range of business and administrative support services, including:
Manage the Office of the Deputy Secretary shared mailbox, MiniApp and TRIM workflows, ensuring matters are accurately assessed, allocated and monitored.
Coordinate workflow, allocations and executive matters to ensure the timely progression and completion of work.
Maintain records, systems and information management processes to support efficient business operations.
Respond to enquiries and assist in resolving sensitive, complex or confidential matters with professionalism and discretion.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support divisional priorities and outcomes.
Identify and implement business process improvements and contribute to projects that enhance office and divisional operations.
Prepare and coordinate correspondence, briefings, advice, meeting papers and other business documentation.
What we’re looking for
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, managing competing demands and meeting tight deadlines
Strong interest in and understanding of the importance of coordinating / facilitating the flow of accurate information between business areas, to and from Senior Executives and ministerial offices.
Ability to work with and influence different stakeholders
Collaborative, proactive and professional, with sound judgement, discretion and a commitment to customer service
Good written and verbal communication skills including record keeping, emails and correspondence.
