Now Hiring: Disability Support Worker (DSW)

Location: Port Macquarie, NSW

Carefinity is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker (DSW) to join our growing team in Port Macquarie.

About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support to clients living in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) home, helping them achieve greater independence while ensuring their health, safety, and wellbeing.

Available Shifts

6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
2:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Sleepover Shift)

Hours: Vary depending on the weekly roster.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality support in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) setting
Assist with personal care and daily living activities
Perform safe manual handling in accordance with care plans
Administer medications following organisational policies and procedures
Support clients to participate in community activities and achieve their individual goals
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the care team

Essential Requirements

Certificate or qualification in Disability Support Work (DSW) or a relevant qualification
Experience working in a SIL environment
Demonstrated experience in manual handling and medication administration
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
Current Working with Children Check (if applicable)
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport (preferred)
Full working rights in Australia
