About the role

The Enrolled Nurse - Mental Health Inpatient West Wing provides evidence-based, consumer-focused nursing care within Metro North Mental Health at The Prince Charles Hospital. Working under the supervision of Registered Nurses and as part of an interprofessional healthcare team, the role supports the delivery of safe, high-quality mental health care that promotes recovery, wellbeing and positive consumer outcomes.

The successful candidate will contribute to the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for consumers receiving inpatient mental health services. The role supports a recovery-focused and person-centred approach to care while ensuring effective communication, collaboration and safe clinical practice within a dynamic mental health environment.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care within scope of practice as an Enrolled Nurse, supporting consumers receiving inpatient mental health treatment.
Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses and multidisciplinary team members to deliver person-centred, recovery-focused care.
Monitor and report changes in consumer health status while contributing to assessment, care planning and evaluation activities.
Promote a safe therapeutic environment through effective communication, professional conduct and adherence to clinical policies and standards.
Participate in learning, professional development and quality improvement activities that support clinical excellence and positive consumer outcomes.
