WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?

We are seeking motivated doctors to join the Southern Fleurieu Health Service Emergency Department on full-time or part-time, temporary 3-year contracts. Based on your experience and qualifications, positions are available as Medical Practitioner (MDP2): Suitable for registered doctors looking to deliver hands-on acute care within a supportive, multidisciplinary team. You will focus on providing high-quality, patient-centred emergency management while undertaking ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives.

• Manage patient care in the Emergency Department collaboratively with medical, nursing, and allied health staff
• Provide after-hours code blue support to the inpatient medical unit

WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW/WHAT IS ESSENTIAL FOR SUCCESS?

Working in this environment, it is important to us that we only employ people with the upmost integrity and commitment to serving the South Australian community and its visitors to the highest possible standards. To ensure that we meet that commitment, there are a few checks that you will be required to undertake. These are detailed on the Role Description, but are likely to include the following:

• Appointment is subject to meeting SA Health's immunisation requirements and maintaining the relevant clearances and screenings required for the role. For more information see Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy.
• Employment is subject to satisfactory background screening, including the checks outlined in the Role Description.
• You must hold a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
• You must hold current general registration with AHPRA or qualify for limited registration via the competent authority pathway
• For the MDP3 Fellowship eligibility (or near completion of specialist training) in Emergency Medicine, General Practice or an equivalent specialty is essential
• Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the South Australian Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement (SMOEA), with total remuneration including salary, employer superannuation contributions and applicable allowances
