Job Description:

Join Royal Melbourne Hospital Mental Health Services as a Research Assistant supporting an exciting pilot project exploring the Care Ecosystem for Young Onset Dementia , in collaboration with the Neuropsychiatry Centre and Monash University.
You’ll support participant recruitment and consenting, conduct assessments, provide navigation support and maintain research databases, working closely with consumers, clinical teams and research staff.
You’ll be part of a collaborative research environment focused on translating evidence into improved care and support for people living with young onset dementia.
Key Accountabilities
  • Support ethics and governance applications and study protocols
  • Recruit, consent and assess participants for research studies
  • Coordinate participant appointments and provide navigation support
  • Maintain research databases, data entry and study documentation
  • Analyse data and contribute to reports and research outputs
  • Work collaboratively with research, clinical and university partners
    • Contribute to safe, inclusive and psychologically safe research practices
About You
You bring:
  • A relevant tertiary qualification or current study in health, human services, psychology, social work, counselling, community services, aged care, disability or a related field
  • Experience in research recruitment, consenting and databasing
  • Knowledge of dementia and its impact on individuals, families and carers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team
  • Strong organisation and documentation skills
    • Experience or an interest in neurological disorders is highly regarded
