ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:

We’re seeking motivated individuals for casual roles across both theatres and general wards, with flexible shift options, including night duty.

As an Orderly, you’ll play a key part in supporting hospital operations, ensuring the safe movement of patients and equipment, and helping maintain a clean and efficient environment within Perioperative Services.

As an Orderly, you’ll play a key part in supporting hospital operations, ensuring the safe movement of patients and equipment, and helping maintain a clean and efficient environment within Perioperative Services by:

  • Transporting and safely transferring patients between departments, within the operating suite, and to/from nearby hospitals

  • Maintaining cleanliness in perioperative areas (floors, walls, shelving, tearooms, etc.)

  • Handling and delivering equipment between departments and hospitals as required

  • Managing soiled linen, biomedical, and general waste in compliance with PPE protocols

  • Cleaning patient care areas including recovery and theatre spaces

ABOUT YOU:

You are an enthusiastic and experienced Hospital and Theatre Orderly with the following:

  • Certificate III Health Services Assistant

  • The ability to work autonomously and within a Team

  • Physically fit

  • Excellent communication, with the ability to relate to patients and staff

  • An awareness of patient confidentiality and application of relevant privacy legislation

  • Previous training in Manual Handling and/or safe lifting techniques

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
