EnergyCo NSW is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean electricity to the people of NSW as coal-fired power stations near closure.
About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) in the Central West Orana (CWO) Project Delivery team as the Manager Program Delivery supporting the implementation of Third Party Agreements (TPA), working closely with the CWO Network Operator (ACEREZ) and TPA stakeholders. The CWO team has several TPA’s with major mining corporations and local councils, which each present their own unique complexities and challenges.
You will take ownership over the planning, governance, stakeholder engagement and delivery of EnergyCo’s obligations of the Third Party Agreements. You will support the Associate Director Delivery with managing and resolving complex technical, construction and commercial issues and risks. You will provide strategic advice, manage resources, build strong relationships and ensure EnergyCo’s TPA contractual obligations are delivered on time, within budget and aligned to project delivery milestones. This role offers the chance to contribute to projects of significant importance to New South Wales' energy future while working in a collaborative, high-performing environment.
This role is based in the Sydney CBD with the project delivery team with regular travel to the CWO region, approximately once per month. For the right candidate, this role could also be based in Mudgee, with regular travel to Sydney, as required.
About You
You are a strategic and pragmatic professional with experience in the delivery of complex infrastructure, construction or major capital projects (ideally $500m + CAPEX value) across government or industry. You have a strong understanding of the challenges associated with delivering projects in complicated stakeholder environments and are skilled at balancing commercial, technical, delivery and Network Operator’s interests to achieve successful project outcomes.
You have previously worked on a State Significant Project or similar in transmission, roads or mining and have familiarity with WHS practices and applicable legislation to large scale construction. You have a strong ability to engage and negotiate with diverse stakeholders, understand their competing priorities and build trusted relationships by developing practical, outcomes-focused solutions.
You are confident managing multiple priorities, working with multidisciplinary teams and providing high-quality advice to senior stakeholders and have a background or exposure to sectors such as energy, construction, mining, roads, or other major infrastructure environments. You have transitioned into or are ready for a leadership role where you focus on project governance, strategic decision-making and driving successful project outcomes.
Exposure to Third Party Agreements, delivery contracts, utility interfaces, landholder agreements or other commercial arrangements would be highly regarded.
Capacity and willingness to travel and familiarity with regional driving will be highly regarded.
