Your new role:
As a Resident Medical Officer - Paediatrics, you will provide high-quality care to children and babies while building your clinical skills in a supportive team environment through:
Delivering supervised clinical care to paediatric and neonatal patients across inpatient and special care nursery settings
Conducting patient assessments, arranging investigations and contributing to treatment and discharge planning
Participating in emergency care, clinical handovers and multidisciplinary team collaboration
Communicating effectively with patients, parents, carers and healthcare professionals
Participating in educational activities, clinical audits and continuous professional development
Supporting a culture of patient safety, quality improvement and evidence-based practice
Contributing positively to a collaborative and respectful team environment
Participating in rostered shifts, including evenings, weekends and on-call requirements as required
About you:
The successful candidate will be a motivated and compassionate medical practitioner who is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and ongoing professional growth with:
Current registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia
Strong clinical knowledge and demonstrated interest in paediatrics
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and families
Effective time management, prioritisation and decision-making skills in fast-paced clinical environments
A collaborative approach to working within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Commitment to continuous learning, clinical excellence and patient-centred care
High levels of professionalism, integrity and respect for diversity and inclusion
Ability to work flexibly across rostered shifts and clinical service requirements
