About the Role

Aegis Health is seeking a professional and motivated full-time Medical Records & Scanning Clerk to join our Health Information Services team within our newly established acute care and mental health hospital.

Reporting to the Health Information Manager, this role is responsible for the efficient management, preparation, scanning, filing, and administration of patient medical records while ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with hospital policies and legislative requirements. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the smooth operation of health information services and contributing to the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.

Working collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams, you will be responsible for accurately tracking and maintaining medical records, preparing and scanning documentation into the Patient Administration System, conducting audits of scanned records, and ensuring all records are filed and managed in accordance with hospital procedures and privacy requirements.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in health information administration or medical records management.
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to manage confidential information appropriately.
  • National Police Clearance.
  • Working with Children (WWC) check.
  • Successful pre-employment health assessment.
