Your next career opportunity
You will contribute to landmark cancer and genomics trials in general practice, improving screening and patient outcomes.
You will gain hands‑on experience in trial coordination, qualitative interviewing, data management and multidisciplinary collaboration.
What you will deliver:
- Coordinate cancer and genomics trials in general practice, including practice recruitment, patient enrolment and follow‑up.
- Conduct and analyse qualitative interviews with patients and clinicians to understand experiences and implementation of trials.
- Prepare ethics submissions, contribute to grant applications and support systematic literature reviews for cancer research.
- Manage research data and trial databases, ensuring accurate collection, entry, analysis and secure record‑keeping.
- Present study findings to the research group and collaborators, and participate in meetings, seminars and conferences.
You may be a great fit if you:
- Hold a tertiary qualification in medical, health science, epidemiology or related discipline, with Honours or Masters.
- Bring experience in clinical or translational research, including coordinating or supporting interventional trials.
- Demonstrate prior experience conducting systematic or other structured reviews of peer‑reviewed scientific literature.
- Show proficiency in accurate data recording, management and basic analysis using research databases or software.
- Manage multiple tasks and deadlines in complex, multidisciplinary settings while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively with clinicians, patients and diverse stakeholders, building strong collaborative relationships across teams.

Your new team – Department of General Practice and Primary Care
Join the Primary Care Cancer Research Group in the Department of General Practice and Primary Care. The team collaborates through the Collaborative Centre for Genomic Cancer Medicine at the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre.
You will contribute to research spanning prevention to survivorship, including screening, genomics, early diagnosis and data‑linkage. Expect a supportive, collaborative environment that values innovation, real‑world impact and developing future leaders in primary care oncology.
