ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced HSE Officer to join our team. The role will require travel between our Wakehurst Parkway and Heathcote Overtaking Lane projects.

The HSE Officer reports to the HSE Manager and supports compliance with health and safety legislation and Ertech standards. They provide HSE guidance, support incident investigations and corrective actions, and promote continuous improvement.

Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Lead and monitor Project HSE performance, ensuring compliance with legislation, Ertech standards and project requirements.
  • Manage HSE risks, incidents, corrective actions and reporting, including worker rehabilitation and return-to-work programs.
  • Build effective relationships with project teams and clients, providing HSE leadership, coaching and support.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through continuous improvement, collaboration, innovation and personal development.

To be successful, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience within the industry in similar or other roles
  • Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel etc.
  • Diploma level or higher qualifications in OHS, WHS, Environmental Management, or a related field (desirable)
  • Must hold or be willing to obtain a White Card
  • Must be able to obtain a National Police Clearence
  • MUST hold valid Australian Working Rights
