About the Role
Join our team as a Registered Nurse in a part time, ongoing position working out of Monash Medical Centre - Paediatric Emergency Department at Clayton.
We guarantee that no two days will be the same.
As a Registered Nurse in our Paediatric Emergency Department, you will provide exceptional, patient-centred care to children and their families in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, utilising your clinical expertise to assess, treat, and support young patients experiencing acute illness or injury.
About Us
The Clayton Paediatric Emergency Department provides tertiary emergency services for paediatric patients across Southeast Melbourne and surrounding regional areas. The department is responsible for over 40,000 emergency presentations annually, hosts 38 treatment spaces, including three resuscitation cubicles, and a twelve bed Paediatric short stay unit and serves as an entry point to our paediatric tertiary level care at the Monash Children’s Hospital with a diverse range of onsite specialist support services.
About You
You are a proven Registered Nurse with Paediatric nursing experience, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a willingness to commit to team work and ongoing professional development that align with our programs, values and vision.
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
Patient-centred, high quality care to individuals presenting to the Emergency Department
Be a role model and mentor, fostering collaboration and teamwork among like-minded colleagues
Excited to actively contribute to quality improvement initiatives to uphold and enhance best practice standards within the program
In addition:
Emergency Department experience
Paediatric experience is essential
You are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Authority (AHRPA)
Hold a valid Working with Children Check
