About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and contributing to an efficient and positive kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present menu items to a high standard
• Ensure consistency, quality, and portion control of all dishes
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment
• Comply with food safety, hygiene, and WHS regulations
• Assist with menu planning and daily specials (where required)
• Monitor food stock, minimise waste, and assist with ordering
• Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Train and support junior kitchen staff if required

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
• Relevant trade qualification (Cert III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent preferred)
• Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations
• Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
