Join our Payroll team in a Permanent Part-Time Payroll Support Officer role, working four days per week (Monday to Thursday), with flexibility for the right candidate. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the end-to-end payroll function for our civil construction workforce, ensuring payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in line with compliance requirements.

Key responsibilities:
  • Manage employee timesheets and life cycle changes (onboarding, terminations, leave, role changes)
  • Support weekly, month-end, and year-end payroll processing and reporting
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with policies and legislation
  • Manage and deal with payroll queries as and when required
  • Maintain data integrity within the system, ensuring it is accurate and up to date
  • Assist Payroll Manager as required including back up support when Payroll Manager is away
  • Assist with general payroll and administrative tasks, while identifying opportunities for process improvement
Required competencies:
  • 3+ years’ experience in payroll
  • Strong understanding of Awards, EBAs and payroll regulations
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • A mature, proactive and team focused mindset
  • Strong communication skills
  • Reliable
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy
