Rail Vegetation Management Worker – Spraying, Slashing, Low Level Vegetation Work

Sydney, NSW | Full-time and casual opportunities

TreeLink is seeking experienced vegetation management workers for ongoing rail corridor projects across Sydney.

We are particularly interested in applicants who are already rail qualified, hold a current ChemCert qualification and have practical herbicide spraying experience.

The work

  • Herbicide spraying within rail corridors
  • Weed control and vegetation maintenance
  • Brush cutting and general vegetation clearing
  • Chainsaw and pole saw work where qualified
  • Working during scheduled rail possessions
  • Completing site documentation and spray records
  • Following rail safety, environmental and chemical-handling requirements

Essential requirements

  • Construction White Card
  • Current Australian driver’s licence
  • Ability to pass rail drug and alcohol testing
  • Willingness to work days, nights and weekends when required
  • Strong safety awareness and ability to work reliably within a crew

Highly regarded

  • Previous rail corridor vegetation-management experience
  • Current RIW card and relevant rail competencies
  • Current ChemCert qualification or equivalent chemical accreditation
  • Previous commercial herbicide spraying experience
  • Chainsaw and pole saw qualifications
  • Brush cutter experience
  • First Aid qualification
  • MR or HR driver’s licence
  • Experience completing chemical application records
