Kitchen Hand

The Meat Republic – Melbourne CBD

The Meat Republic is a modern Balkan restaurant located in the heart of Melbourne CBD, specialising in charcoal-grilled meats and authentic Balkan cuisine.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Hand to join our friendly kitchen team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
  • Keep workstations clean, organised and ready for service.
  • Receive and store deliveries as directed.
  • Remove rubbish and recycling and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene procedures at all times.
  • Perform general kitchen cleaning and end-of-shift duties.

About You

  • Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
