Service Officer Workers Compensation
Clerk Grade: 3/4
Salary Range: $84,659 - $92,701 plus superannuation and leave loading
Employment Type: Ongoing Full-Time role
Location: Goulburn NSW - Flexible Working Arrangements available
Please note: This role requires an initial 4–6 weeks full-time in the office for training and support purposes, followed by 2–3 days per week in the office or as per DCS policy.

Government Shared Services (GSS) is a newly established division within DCS, leading the way in simplifying processes and delivering efficient shared services. Our work enables teams across the department to focus on what matters most, supporting customers and delivering vital services.
You will join a high-performing, specialised Workers Compensation Payments Team, responsible for processing workers compensation payments across the department in a collaborative and supportive environment.

About the Role
In this role, you will manage a portfolio of workers compensation claims and work closely with key stakeholders to ensure employee entitlements are processed accurately and in line with legislative requirements
You will:
- Process and manage workers compensation claims in accordance with legislation, policies, and internal guidelines
- Provide employees with clear advice and high-level customer service regarding their claim entitlements
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Strong ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies, and guidelines relating to workers compensation
- Intermediate computer skills and confidence in providing advice to employees
- Well-developed organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- Confident and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Initiative and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Previous payroll experience (desirable)
