About the Role

As a Small Business Lending Specialist, you’ll connect with new and existing customers by phone and via anz.com to understand their business and their goals. You’ll then use your expert understanding of lending and cash flow concepts to make tailored recommendations to address the customer’s needs. Successful candidates will complete a a Commercial Banking induction to get up to speed. This is a great opportunity for people with a passion for helping customers and an understanding of the fundamentals of lending.

What will your day look like?

As a Small Business Lending Specialist, you will be:

• Actioning incoming calls and digital opportunities by conducting needs-based conversations
• Providing tailored solutions and recommendations to fulfill a customer’s end-to-end requirements
• Taking ownership of customer issues, resolving them and recording discussions for future reference
• Identifying additional customer needs and referring the customer to an appropriate channel
• Collaborating with the team to contribute to a high-performance culture

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• Ability to support customers by understanding their needs and informing them about relevant products or services, and providing considered options, that meet those needs.
• Managing a process end-to-end to achieve a customer outcome.
• Knowledge of small business operations, transaction banking and working capital solutions.
• Proficiency in credit assessment and management.
• Ability to identify and pursue new commercial opportunities
• Knowledge of financial terminology, financial statements (such as Profit and Loss, balance sheets and cashflow statements) and the principles behind financing
• Knowledge of lending and cashflow needs and solutions
