We are a high-performing, fast-paced consultancy that values people who bring energy, accountability, and pride in their work. We care deeply about delivery. Not just getting things done, but getting them done properly and in ways that genuinely help our clients succeed.

We are officially Great Place to Work® Certified, reflecting the strong culture we have built. One grounded in trust, high standards, ownership, and genuine support for our people.

Why This Role Exists

Codex is scaling rapidly. We are hiring across AI engineering, data engineering, and cloud engineering, and we need a Talent Acquisition Consultant who can own the hiring function end to end. Not someone who posts ads and waits. Someone with strong instincts who can cut through a market full of AI-polished applications, identify genuine talent, and keep the hiring engine moving at pace.

You will report directly to our Chief People Officer, taking ownership of recruitment execution and people operations across our offices in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with Codex Partners, Principals and hiring managers to understand vacancy needs and capture detailed role briefs, including required skills, remuneration and employment conditions
  • Design and post compelling job advertisements across relevant job boards, LinkedIn and industry networks to attract quality Data, Cloud, AI and consulting talent
  • Screen resumes, conduct structured interviews and assess candidates against role requirements to shortlist the best-fit talent for each business unit
  • Coordinate candidate testing, reference checks and other pre-employment screening as required
  • Keep both hiring managers and candidates updated throughout the process, including current vacancy status and market conditions
  • Negotiate salary packages, employment terms and offer conditions with candidates to reach a successful placement
  • Provide hiring managers and candidates with advice on market salary benchmarks, in-demand technology skills and career development pathways within Codex
  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline through proactive sourcing, networking and database management, particularly across the data, cloud and AI consulting market
  • Accurately maintain candidate records within Codex's recruitment database/ATS
  • Stay up to date with relevant employment legislation, awards and industry trends to provide informed guidance to hiring managers and candidates
  • Champion Codex's values and B Corp status throughout the candidate experience, ensuring every applicant feels understood and respected

What We Are Looking For

  • Previous experience of at least 2 years or more in a recruitment, talent acquisition or HR-related role is highly regarded, ideally within technology, IT or professional services recruitment
  • A Bachelor degree (or higher) in a relevant field such as Human Resource Management, Business or Organisational Psychology is preferred; equivalent relevant work experience will also be considered
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and candidates
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational/time-management skills
  • Confidence using recruitment databases/ATS, job boards and LinkedIn Recruiter
  • A proactive, values-driven approach with the ability to manage multiple vacancies at once
  • Genuine alignment with Codex's values of Empathy, Sustainability and Authenticity

Why Codex

  • Great Place to Work® Certified
  • Direct access to the CPO, a leader who will invest in your development and give you room to grow
  • High-impact role where you directly shape the quality and growth of the Codex team
  • Frontier AI environment, working alongside some of the sharpest AI and cloud engineers in Australia
  • Career progression into broader People and Culture
