Role Summary:

• Location: Bacchus Marsh Hospital
• Employment Type: Part-Time (27 hours/fortnight), Ongoing
• Salary: FSA Grade 1/2 + Superannuation + Salary Packaging

About the role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Food Services Assistant to join our Food Services Team at Bacchus Marsh Hospital on a permanent, part-time contract (27 hours per fortnight – afternoon shift). The successful candidate will be working closely with other food services assistants, cooks, diet monitors and the Food Services Manager.

The roster is as follows:

• Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 14:00-19:00
• Week 2: Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday 14:00-18:00

Key responsibilities:

Undertake all duties involved in the provision of meals and beverages to patients including:

• Meal preparation and service.
• Delivery and return of all trolleys, food items and utensils from kitchen, wards and other areas as directed.
• Ensure safe food handling and cook chill guidelines are adhered to.

About you:

• Have demonstrated experience in frontline Patient Care/Customer Service.
• High standards and knowledge of food safety and food hygiene matters.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Have experience in heating, plating and delivery of meals to patients.
• Be able to work as part of a team in a multidisciplinary environment.
