A significant proportion of Australia’s working population live with a disability. Despite this, many report they’re not having the same experience as other working-age Australians landing a job. When it comes to diversity, inclusion and belonging at work, it’s important to take appropriate steps and measures to level the playing field for all workers, so no one is unfairly advantaged or disadvantaged.
- 21% of workers with a disability don’t believe their organisation promotes diversity and inclusion at all.
- Workers with a disability are up to 5 times more likely to hide their differences compared to other minority groups.
- 16% of workers with a disability don’t think their organisation would take action in response to discrimination.

*The research in this whitepaper was commissioned by ThatComms Co on behalf of Indeed and conducted by YouGov. The study was conducted online between 11 - 17 February 2021, involving 2,060 working age Australians (aged between 18-64) currently in either full or part-time employment, or actively looking for work.
