About the opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and customer-focused Support Officer to join our Community and Regulatory Services division. Reporting to the Business Implementation Lead, you will play a key role in supporting industry and community stakeholders by delivering high-quality customer service and administrative support across a variety of channels.
In this dynamic and fast-paced role, you will respond to enquiries, provide guidance and technical support, manage customer interactions, and assist with a range of industry requests. Success in this role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills, as well as the ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a high standard of service delivery.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, thrives on variety, and is passionate about delivering positive outcomes for customers and the Victorian community.
What you'll contribute
- Provide a positive and professional experience for customers by responding to enquiries and offering timely advice and support.
- Help keep operations running smoothly by coordinating and prioritising a high volume of customer and industry enquiries.
- Support the delivery of regulatory services through the accurate assessment and processing of applications, renewals, and other requests.
- Contribute to efficient business operations by managing payment transactions and supporting financial administration activities.
- Maintain the integrity of organisational records through accurate data entry, document management, and attention to detail.
To be successful, you'll have
- Previous experience in an administrative, customer service, or customer-facing role, with the ability to deliver high-quality support in a busy environment.
- Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) systems, databases, or other business systems, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and provide professional customer service.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Well-developed problem-solving skills and confidence in identifying practical solutions to customer and operational issues.
- High levels of computer literacy and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy when processing information and maintaining records.
- The ability to exercise discretion and handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity and professionalism.
- Experience working within a regulatory or compliance-focused environment (Desirable).
- Experience using SharePoint, Content Manager, or other document and records management systems (Desirable).
