About the Business Unit:
Employee and Workplace Relations (EWR) provides specialist advice, case management, business partnering, industrial and workplace relations support, employee investigations, and systems improvement services across the department.
About the Role:
The Systems Support Officer sits within the Systems Improvement team and provides administrative, systems, reporting and coordination support across EWR. The role supports the accurate and timely processing of pre-employment checks, data entry, routine reporting, record management and general case administration. It also contributes to maintaining data quality, supporting system-based processes, and helping ensure EWR matters are managed efficiently and in line with relevant policies, procedures and privacy requirements.
The role operates as a flexible branch resource and may provide support across different EWR teams in response to business needs, workload demands and emerging priorities. The position contributes to consistent, efficient and high-quality service delivery across the branch.
Some of your duties will include:

Conduct and coordinate pre-employment checks, including reference checks, police checks, qualification checks and other screening activities in line with departmental policies and procedures. Monitor progress and follow up outstanding checks as required.

Provide administrative support for EWR processes, including file set-up, document management, correspondence, status tracking, referrals, brief preparation and record keeping.

Enter, update and maintain case information in EWR systems with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Maintain systems, registers, templates and records to ensure information is current, complete and accessible.

About You:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:

Demonstrated experience providing administrative, business support or coordination services in a busy office environment.

Proven ability to enter, maintain and check data accurately, identify errors, and ensure records are complete, current and reliable.

Ability to prepare routine reports, extract basic data and present information clearly using spreadsheets, system reports and standard templates.
