Description:

The position is part-time at the moment with the start date, days of the week and hours being relatively flexible and will be discussed with the right candidate. We also have the option to transition into full-time hours in the near future if this is what you are looking for.

Position scope:

Perform routine Active Maintenance for new and existing patients

Motivate, assist and educate patients in developing and maintaining good oral health

Periodontal charting, periodontal diagnosis, treatment and management

Assisting our dentists with periodic radiographs and providing patient care instructions

Help grow the hygiene practice and patient retention

Able to interpret treatment plans and maintain accurate and detailed clinical records

Meet our practice philosophy and willingness to develop lasting relationships with patients

Work as part of a close team to ensure a smooth daily work flow

Adhere to and help with sterilisation and infection control procedures

Triage emergencies

Perform teeth whitening procedures

Skills and experience:

All levels of experience are considered. If you do not have much experience, it is essential that you show a keen willingness to learn and grow with our modern and progressive practice. Any level of experience will be considered as we are happy to provide mentorship and Prime Practice training will be highly advantageous.

As an OHT/Dental Hygienist, you'll work alongside the Dentist to provide a wide range of oral hygiene services to patients including:

Periodontal charting and treatment

Restorative procedures - within your scope

Sterilisation and infection control procedures and maintaining optimal hygiene of the surgery

Teeth whitening

For the successful candidate, salary or renumeration is negotiable depending on experience.

Skills and Experience:

Fully qualified with experience working in private or public settings

Current AHPRA registration and full working rights in Australia

Minimum 3 years experience

Valid Professional Indemnity insurance

Current Working with Children Check

Ability to work with or without a Dental Assistant

Current licence and operating experience with radiograph equipment

Demonstrated knowledge of and proficiency with all aspects of general dentistry

About the Role: Dental Assistant/Receptionist
