ABOUT THE ROLE:

Manage design & development of new products

Investigate and implement improvements to existing product range

Oversee external testing of products

About the role
Reporting to the operations manager, the role will initially work on a large upgrade project in Papua New Guinea. While you will be predominately based in our Brisbane office, with some flexibility to work from home, you will also have opportunities to travel to and gain experience on our client s site in PNG.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for engineering investigations, analysis, design, documentation and technical leadership of a team of engineers and designers engaged within the project.

About You
You have a bachelor s degree in Engineering from a recognised Australian institution (or equivalent).
You have relevant automation experience and have a strong desire to maintain your learning of new systems and technologies.

A minimum of 10 to 15 years relevant engineering and design experience

Previous experience leading and mentoring a team of engineers and designers

Experience interfacing with large clients and vendors

Brownfield cutover experience, with Greenfield experience being advantageous

Ability to solve complex problems and effectively prioritise and assign tasks

Strong technical focus and willingness to get hands on as required

Ability to travel to site as needed (although likely to be minimal within first 12 months)

Mineral processing experience and/or industrial site and commissioning experience will be highly regarded but not essential*.*
