Tasks Include:

designing electronic components, circuits and systems used for computer, communication and control systems, and other industrial applications

designing software, especially embedded software, to be used within such systems

developing apparatus and procedures to test electronic components, circuits and systems

supervising installation and commissioning of computer, communication and control systems, and ensuring proper control and protection methods

establishing and monitoring performance and safety standards and procedures for operation, modification, maintenance and repair of such systems

designing communications bearers based on wired and wireless communication media

analyzing communications traffic and level of service, and determining the type of installation, location, layout and transmission medium for communication systems

designing and developing signal processing algorithms and implementing these through appropriate choice of hardware and software

Skills Include:

Solid hardware design experience

Proven experience in detailed design of analogue and digital circuits, including Embedded firmware development in Embedded C/C++

Experience in low power micro controller designs (STM32, AVR, ARM, Ti, etc)

Experience in serial communications protocols and hardware interface designs including I2S, I2C, SPI, Ethernet.

Knowledge of Low Power RF communications technologies (BLE, WiFi)

Experience in design of schematics and PCB layout using Autodesk Eagle, Proteus suite etc

Solid background in the use of oscilloscopes and other test equipment for debugging and analysis

An understanding of PCB assembly process

An understanding of EMC and safety compliance

Some experience in EMbedded C/C++ language in RTOS environments

Good written communications skills to prepare specifications

Position Summary

Electronics engineers use their knowledge to design, develop, evaluate, and maintain electronic systems and components. Day-to-day duties vary based on the field, but they generally design, plan, perform research, inspect the equipment, attend conferences, and liaise with others.

Key Responsibilities

Developing electronic designs and design artefacts that meet project technical requirements

Circuit & PCB design and System Prototyping

Prepares the BMCS engineering design, input-output list and functional description

Prepares BMCS system control strategy, schematics and drawings

Programs the control sequence and configures the system software, controllers, electronic sensors and devices

Supervising installation and commissioning of computer, communication and control systems

Prepares the test procedures and commissioning sheets and designs the BMCS graphical user interfaces for control and monitoring.

Performs preventive maintenance and repair of control system components

Establishing and monitoring performance and safety standards and procedures for operation, modification, maintenance

Work in accordance with the company HSEQ policies.

Report all non-conformances to Supervisor.

Other duties as per requested by the Supervisor.

Essential Criteria

Bachelor's Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering

Knowledge and skills in AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio and Office Applications Turbo C, and Electronics Workbench

Knowledge in the implementation of the Reliable Controls Mach-Pro,Series Controllers and software like RC-WebView, RC-Remote Access RC-Reporter and RC-Archive

Knowledgeable in Fire Detection and Alarm System (FDAS), - Public Address and Voice Alarm System (PAVA), - Lighting Control System (LCS)

Your role
